Permittee accepts this permit subject to the terms outlined herein: this permit will not relieve the permittee from complying with all other applicable legal requirements: the undersigned permittee acknowledges possible full liability for any untoward consequences of fires that may be authorized by this permit. At a minimum, such liability could include the cost of response by the fire district; fire department; or fire company that may be required to bring a fire under control or to protect life and property. Such liability may exist whether or not the area covered by this permit or the area engulfed in a n uncontrolled fire, lies in or out of such territory of the fire district, department, or company.
Please fill out the following form in its entirety. You will then be redirected to the PayPal website to pay for your burn permit. Once payment has been completed you will receive a confirmation email with your burn permit information.
Please keep this confirmation email readily available (electronically or printed) on your burn date, you may be asked to present it.
If you are purchasing a one day permit it will be valid on the burn date you have selected.
If you are purchasing a three day permit it will be valid for three consecutive days starting on the burn date you have selected.
Frequently asked questions
BURN TIMES
Burn times change throughout the year – and at times you are unable to burn. If there is currently a burn ban in effect you will be unable to purchase a temporary open burning permit.
Unless there is a current burn ban in effect please use the following burn times:
October 1 – March 30 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
April 1 – September 30 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
INSPECTIONS
We no longer come out to inspect for every temporary open burning permit.
If you unsure if your space is adequate or if you are properly prepared we would be happy to come and inspect your burn site prior to beginning your burn. Please select the appropriate checkbox and we will contact you to schedule the inspection.
Inspections can take place any day or time but to can only be scheduled during normal business hours. E.g. if you purchase a permit on the weekend and request an inspection we won’t be able to schedule it till the following business day (Monday). If you purchase a permit during business hours and request an inspection we can schedule it the same day, for any day of your choosing.
